My name is Kerstin Brown, and I am a graduate student studying Apparel and Textiles with a minor in Management at The University of Alabama. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but I have been residing in the State of Alabama since 2008’. As a Mind Changers elementary school mentor, I would consider myself as a more interactive and creative influence. I enjoy mentoring students, and strive to help them as they transition into Middle School.
I'm a 2015 Graduate from The University of Alabama, 23 years of age from Montgomery, Alabama. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development: Family Studies. I plan to continue my education by pursuing a Masters Degree in Family and Marriage Therapy. I've been mentoring with Mind Changers for about 4 years now.
Mentoring has become a second love of mines. It does my heart good to see the children attentive and listen to your every word. You never know what one thing you may say or words of strong encouragement, you might say help a child change his/her life for the better; and just to have the opportunity to be apart of the this amazing and most influential team is a huge honor. |
